A rare Mako shark tooth from Sumatra, Indonesia. These teeth appear to be juvenile Isurus desori teeth (narrow crown) and are scarce in the Sumatran deposit. They were deposited in the Telisa formation - a shallow marine environment during the middle Miocene (approx. 15 million years ago.) A very unique collector's tooth. D052 is the upper jaw tooth on the right. Authenticity guaranteed.

An EXTRA LARGE, HIgh Quality copper red colored Auriculatus lateral tooth from the Meherrin River, No. Carolina. Excellent rare copper red colors. Very good preservation and condition. A very rare, LARGE, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark tooth, from Herrin, Illinois. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. A rare double crown section with lots of pyrite. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion or a vertical whipping motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.

A beautifully prepared, TOP QUALITY Walliserops lindoei trilobite, the "short trident Comura".  One of the collector's favorite spiny trilobites. A November Fossil of the Month. Walliserops lindoei is an unusual looking species with three rows of spines run down its back and a trident-like fork extending from the front of the cephalon.
