An ultra rare Big, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a large adult Rex. A July 2020 Fossil of the Month. This stocky Rex crown measures 3-5/8" (straight line) and is thick for its size (1-1/4"). The enamel is highest quality. Great rich dark chocolate brown and black color. Excellent serrations on the anterior and posterior serrations. Note - There is no wear facet at the tip and this tooth is serrated to the tip (a recently erupted BIG tooth - rare). One partial hydration crack which was stabilized. No breaks. No repair or restoration. A 100% natural tooth! Fantastic overall condition with incredible serrations for a large Rex tooth. A fantastic collector's tooth!  T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. An ultra rare Mosasaur matrix piece with two Top Quality Mosasaurus (Prognathodon) anceps teeth with their original roots. Another May 2018 Fossil of the Month selection. Includes a massive 5-1/2" tooth and a 3" tooth in the original matrix. Both are fully rooted and perfect teeth which is very rare! This is not your typical Mosasaur crown glued to a root. This is an all original, associated specimen (beware of the fakes - discussion below). Exceptional condition and preservation.  No repair or restoration. Museum Quality. The only authentic Mosasaur specimen with two original rooted teeth that I have seen!  Note - the large Moroccan Mosasaurs are being renamed to a Prognathodon genus. Authenticity guaranteed.
