A Rare, High Quality Odontaspis sp. tooth from Dinosaur Park, Alberta, Canada. This is a species from the Late Cretaceous Dinosaur Park Formation deposit. The crown is complete, both side cusps complete, and root end damaged. Good quality enamel. No repair. A very difficult tooth to locate and an excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich  blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A perfect "Pungo" hastalis tooth.

A GEM, 3" Lee Creek Isurus xiphodon tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth. Yes, I said a 3" LC Mako!!! (Ok, let's call it 2-31/32".) This tooth is from an old collection. An exceptional collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine. One of the largest LC Makos that I have seen! An incredible extra large LC Mako - talk about rare! The BEST of the BEST!

The March 2016 Fossil of the Month is a GEM light brown colored Megalodon - PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. Highest quality enamel - glass-like with no hydration cracks!
