An ultra rare Mosasaur matrix piece with two Top Quality Mosasaurus (Prognathodon) anceps teeth with their original roots. Another May 2018 Fossil of the Month selection. Includes a massive 5-1/2" tooth and a 3" tooth in the original matrix. Both are fully rooted and perfect teeth which is very rare! This is not your typical Mosasaur crown glued to a root. A rare, incredibly preserved Caenocidaris cucumifera, a fossil club echinoid (urchin). The specimen is fully inflated, nicely articulated, and complete with ornate spines - a very aesthetic display. These “Club” echinoids on matrix include some composite spines/radioles from their species. These spines are challenging to find. This fantastic echinoid is middle Jurassic period from from Boulemane, Middle Atlas Mts., Morocco. A very special collector item and a fantastic display piece. NO repair! Authenticity guaranteed.
