The Phareodus was a carnivorous fish with large pointed teeth and a long pectoral fin. This piece is from the 18 Inch Layer which is extremely hard and difficult to prepare. A GEM Quality Carcharodon carcharias, the Great White shark, tooth from So. Carolina. An upper jaw anterior tooth. Solid charcoal gray colored enamel and a solid dark gray colored root. Root is well preserved - very difficult to find in the Carolina GWs. Exceptional razor sharp serrations with a great tip serration. An EXCELLENT Great White shark collector's tooth.
