The Phareodus was a carnivorous fish with large pointed teeth and a long pectoral fin. This piece is from the Split Fish Layer and shows fantastic detail. Excellent preservation and preparation. The Campanian age Ankylosaurs grew to 20 feet and 6000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. The bone is exceptional quality with excellent color and patina. A complete scute from a juvenile Zuul Ankylosaur. Great osteoderm height - a extra hight ridge. ~76 MYA. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Havre, Montana.
