The October 2015 Week #4 Fossil of the Month is a LARGE, GEM Megalodon PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR upper jaw tooth from the Bolan Hall Creek, Jasper Co., So. Carolina. A gorgeous symmetrical Meg with a greenish - tan crown. High quality enamel. The brown bourlette is incredible, very glossy, anbd essentially complete. The serrations are incredibly sharp -" razor-like" with an exceptional tip serration and nearly perfect! Incredible serrations for a bigger So. Carolina Meg - among the finest (see the close photos)! The root is complete, nicely articulated, few hydration cracks and a nice brown color. Exceptional symmetry - the perfect shaped Meg. This Megalodon is an exceptionally well preserved. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Hexanchus griseus tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. This is complete lower jaw tooth. Superb preservation and color. Thirteen very sharp and primary cusps. An excellent root - very unique & difficult to find!
