An ULTRA RARE,  Top Quality 6-1/8" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth, an upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth from Aurora, No. Carolina. A July Fossil of the Month selection. This Megalodon tooth has an incredible light tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel with essentially no hydration cracks - rare for a big Meg tooth! Exceptional color. The serrations are large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. Fantastic serrations for a BIG Meg! The root is exceptional - an excellent tan color, no hydration cracks, extra wide and absolutely complete. The finest root that I have seen on a BIG Megalodon tooth. This Megalodon was found in the Yorktown Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Pliocene age = 5 MYA). Rarely do you see a 6" Lee Creek Megalodon tooth and rarely are they high quality. This tooth is from an old collection. One of the finest examples of a 6"+ classic upper jaw anterior Lee Creek Megs considering the shape, color, and preservation. An ultra rare, GEM Quality Torvosaurus tanneri tooth from the Morrison Formation. A September Fossil of the Month. This completeTorvosaurus crown measures 1-516". The enamel is highest quality. Excellent rich green -brown color. Exceptional posterior and anterior serrations. Note - the anterior carina end about 1/2 of the way down from the tip. The diagnostic for a Torvosaurus tooth. Fantastic overall enamel condition and serrations. No repair or restoration. Torvosaurus was a large predator during the late Jurassic with large teeth designed to slash predators. A very rare, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex  tooth with a wicked break away; a possible sign of T.rex fighting breakage. This tooth measures 2-1/4". The enamel has excellent color and patina. Excellent anterior and posterior serrations. Base cross-section is a wide oval. One crack. No restoration. A top quality tooth!
