A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth has short pathologic ribs in the enamel. Possibly an attempt to create serrations. There have been some C. hubellii GW transition teeth found in the mine.  This tooth has a rich tan crown and a light tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Pliocene tooth from the Yorktown Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. A TOP QUALITY, LARGE Stylemys nebrascensis, a fossil tortoise shell, from the White River Badlands, Brule Formation, South Dakota. Fantastic color and preservation. Note that Stylemys is thought to be a burrowing tortoise which helps maintain the 3-D in aspect of the shell when they are died in their burrow. Exceptional preparation with a little restoration done to the left side (front view) which is minor and common for the White River tortoise shells. One of the better White River tortoise shells and a great display piece. Authenticity guaranteed.

"Flaming Red Auric"  A very rare, EXTRA LARGE Auriculatus lateral tooth with a tan crown and a gorgeous, highly articulated red colored root. The bourlette is red colored, extra large, and nearly complete. The serrations are very nice -  large, razor sharp, and complete. Massive side cusps.  Incredible preservation -  among the finest you will see with an Auriculatus. The only challenge with this tooth is the left root corner broke during extraction and was reattached. The repair work is very well done and very hard to detect (no filler).   These Peruvian Aurics are very rare.
