A HUGE, High Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a very large adult Rex. A June 2020 Fossil of the Month. This massive Rex crown measures 4-9/16" (straight up) or 4-7/8" (straight line) or 5"+ (on curve) and has a big root (2" Wide). The enamel is good quality with some root etchings and natural cracks. Good brown color. The serrations are worn, but visible. The tip is good. Cracks are stabilized with some crack fill. No breaks - possibly one. A natural tooth from a BIG Rex! Note - most teeth of this size that you see are heavy restored and sometimes two teeth are put together! This tooth has original enamel from tip to base. One giant crown. T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. See the detailed description to determine how to tell a real T-Rex tooth! A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich  blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A perfect "Pungo" hastalis tooth.

A Top Quality, Extra Large rare transition GW tooth, Carcharodon hubbelli. An upper jaw anterior tooth. Another December 2017 Fossil of the Month. The C. hubbelli serrations are full at the base of the cutting edge, transition to fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. This tooth has an excellent blue colored crown ("blue site"), brown root, and a vivid dark maroon "gum line". Excellent color. No repair.
