A natural Hoploscaphites nebrascensis ammonite with excellent preservation of the shell material. The ammonite shell has some iridescence. This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with multiple rows of tubercles (nodes). This specimen is sits in an original Pierre Shale nodule with a flat base for a great display. The end is filled with calcite crystals! This ammonite is from the upper Cretaceous, Pierre Shale Fm. of So. Dakota. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic display piece.

"The Color Collection - North of the River"  A LARGE, TOP QUALITY, lower jaw anterior Isurus planus tooth from the Sharktooth Hill area, California. This tooth is displayed on its original Round Mountain silt matrix. Beautiful blue crown with an excellent brown colored root. Excellent preservation. A Middle Miocene age tooth. A RARE, Albertavenator curriei  (Troodon) tooth from the Horseshoe Canyon Fm. of Alberta, Canada. A premaxillary tooth. I only have one PM tooth. An April Fossil of the Month. Troodontid teeth are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations. The enamel is excellent with an excellent brown color.  Excellent large posterior and anterior serrations. Please note that Albertavenator teeth typically have anterior (mesial) serrations. There is a very small wear facet on the tip. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Horseshoe Canyon Fm., Alberta, Canada. These Albertavenator teeth were collected pre-July 1978 and a Confirmation Certificate #001427 was granted (see photo). It is beautifully prepared to give it a sculpted effect with the bottom of the cephalon, thorax, and pygidium are fully exposed. Preparation easily took many dozens of hours to clean this specimen!
