A rare, ~3" GEM Great White transition shark tooth, Carcharodon hubbelli, from Chile. The C. hubbelli is an evolutionary transition from the non-serrated big-tooth Mako shark to the fully serrated Great White shark which takes place in the late Miocene period. A Top Quality Ankylosaur osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurus and Denversaurus, a Nodosaur, were the two Ankylosaurs present in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek Formations.  A body osteoderm section from a juvenile Ankylosaur. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color and patina. No cracks or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Carter Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. An EXTRA LARGE, GEM Quality, shark vertabra from the Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, California. A February Fossil of the Month.Note - Most likely a large Mako shark vertebra and part of an associated pair with ST954. The sides are all clean and fully articulated. The base is the original Round Mountain silt matrix. Excellent preservation and gorgeous color. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A scarce find for Sharktooth Hill, and 2"+ are always very difficult to find. The best Sharktooth Hill vertebra the I have seen. A fantastic display piece!
