A top quality, large Phareodus fish. The Phareodus encaustus is a Osteoglossidae fish from the Eocene age (50 MYA) fish, Green River Fm., Lincoln Co. Wyoming. The Phareodus was a carnivorous fish with large pointed teeth and a long pectoral fin. This piece is from the Split Fish Layer and shows fantastic detail. Excellent preservation and preparation. No repair. All natural. An excellent display piece!

A GEM, 3" Lee Creek Isurus xiphodon tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth. Yes, I said a 3" LC Mako!!! (Ok, let's call it 2-31/32".) This tooth is from an old collection. A group of six TOP QUALITY, Metasequoia dakotensis cones on original Hell Creek Formation matrix from Montana. These "dinosaur age" pine cones are found in the Hell Creek Formation of Dawson Co., Montana. A March Fossil of the Month.   These Upper Cretaceous pine cones are high quality with great preservation.They are fully inflated spheres and maximun size (redwoods produce very small cones for their size!). The Metasequoia is the "dawn redwood", and it is one of the three redwood conifers species. Authenticity guaranteed. An incredible display piece.
