An ultra rare, Record Size, Top Quality Carcharoides totuserratus (extinct Mackerel) shark tooth from the Fishermans Steps, Jan Juc, Victoria, Australia. A World Record size for this species - so we believe. A May Fossil of the Month. Incredible color and preservation. Complete tooth. This tooth is Late Oligocene (Janjukian) from the Jan Juc Fm. There is a crack at the base of the crown that was stabilized without breaking.  An ultra rare collector's Carcharoides totuserratus tooth. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. Australian fossil shark teeth are nearly impossible to source. This is an incredible specimen from an old collection.

A "Flying" Top Quality, EXTRA LARGE Zilchovaspis rogusa trilobite from Morocco. A November Fossil of the Month. It has German controlled preparation and retains all natural color and detail. An ultra rare, LARGE, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi partial tooth whorl, from Herrin, Illinois. A July Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. An ultra rare triple crown whorl section with exceptional quality crowns. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion or a vertical whipping motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. A rare,Top Quality Suwanee Auriculatus tooth from northern Florida. An exceptional upper jaw lateral tooth. Gorgeous charcoal gray colored crown with a brown colored bourlette, and brown root. A HUGE, Top Quality Ptychodus mammillaris, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Kamp Ranch Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with strong transverse ridges across the cusp that transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - one margin has a natural crack which contains matrix within it and the root structure is missing. This is a rare species and a suer rare size - this specimen exceeds the maximum size recorded for Texas!
