A rare, TOP QUALITY  Megalodon tooth - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth from Calvert Cliffs, Maryland. One of our January 2018 Fossils of the Month. An exceptional tan and blue crown with a large brown bourlette - great eye appeal. High quality enamel - the surface is like glass! The serrations are razor sharp and essentially complete with a good tip serration - rare for a big Meg! A LARGE, Rare Basilosaurus isis premolar tooth from Morocco. Basilosaurus was in the Basilosauridae family of early whales. An August Fossil of the Month. Note - this tooth is a molar with no wear and a complete root. This material is a new find and represents an early transition form of the whale which was a fully aquatic carnivore. Note - the very tip of four side cusps were professionally restored in the US. This is an opportunity to own an incredibly rare specimen from an early evolutionary stage of the modern whale. The May 2015 Fossil of the Month. My BEST GEM, EXTRA LARGE Megalodon PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR upper jaw tooth from the Ashapoo River, So. Carolina. A "PICTURE" Meg with a gorgeous light brown ("Ashapoo") crown with charcoal colored "clouds". Highest quality enamel. The medium brown bourlette is incredible, very glossy, nearly complete, and very showy. The serrations are incredibly large and sharp with an excellent tip serration, and 100% complete - perfect! Incredible serrations for a big Meg - among the finest (see the close photos)! The root is complete, nicely articulated, few hydration cracks and a gorgeous chocolate brown color. Excellent symmetry. This Megalodon is an exceptionally well preserved. Weighs more than 1 lb. NO repair or restoration. AN EXCEPTIONAL BIG MEG. MUSEUM QUALITY. This Meg is definitely with in the top three 6"+ Megs that I have seen. An INCREDIBLY SPECIAL BIG Meg. The BEST of the BEST! An Ultra Rare, GEM, LARGE copper-red Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Meherrin River, No. Carolina.  An August Fossil of the Month. Rare deep copper red color with exceptional gloss. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional preservation and condition - extra sharp edges and tip - very clean. The root shows very nice detail and is complete. A TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE & very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii, from Harleyville, So. Carolina. Our 2nd November Fossil of the Month is a highly desirable Zygorhiza molar or "yoke" tooth.  An exceptional chocolate brown colored crown and tan root. The crown has fantastic articulation with incredible detail. Complete root. This tooth has minimal repair to tips of the 3 cusps on the left side only. Very little repair overall for a yoke tooth which are typically heavily repaired.  One of the BEST Archaeocete molars that I have seen from So. Carolina in a long time. A very rare collector's tooth. Museum Quality.  Note - 6" x 8" Riker frame included. One of my favorites!
