An excellent group of three of Large, Top Quality Mucrospirifer thedfordensis brachiopods from Arkona, Ontario, Canada. Brachiopods are bivalve molluscs. Two EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Scyphocrinites elegans crinoids from Alnif, southeastern Morocco. A January Fossil of the Month. The Scyphocrinites crinoid was a floating variety which was attached to a holdfast air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx ("flower"). A Rare Basilosaurus isis premolar tooth from Morocco. Basilosaurus was in the Basilosauridae family of early whales. Note - this tooth is a premolar with no wear and most of the root. This material is a new find and represents an early transition form of the whale which was a fully aquatic carnivore. No repair or restoration. An Ultra Rare, Top Quality Bird Feather & Mosquito Larvae leaf from the Green River Fm., Douglas Pass, Garfield Co., Colorado. An August Fossil of the Month. An EXTRA LARGE exceptional Scaldicetus sp., a Sperm whale, tooth from Caldera area of Chile. A February Fossil of the Month. This tooth has exceptional preservation, fantastic brown color, and is exceptionally clean. "Flaming Red Auric"  A very rare, EXTRA LARGE Auriculatus lateral tooth with a tan crown and a gorgeous, highly articulated red colored root. The bourlette is red colored, extra large, and nearly complete. The serrations are very nice -  large, razor sharp, and complete. Massive side cusps.  Incredible preservation -  among the finest you will see with an Auriculatus. The only challenge with this tooth is the left root corner broke during extraction and was reattached. The repair work is very well done and very hard to detect (no filler).   These Peruvian Aurics are very rare.

A natural Hoploscaphites nebrascensis ammonite with excellent preservation of the shell material. The ammonite shell has some natural iridescence.
