An incredibly well preserved egg shell section from a Saltasaurus, a Titantosaur sauropod, from Patagonia, Argentina. These egg shell large pieces are larger than most and are massive with a shell thickness up to 1/4". These late Cretaceous age shells were found in the Anacleto Formation (80 MYA) in the Neuquen Province, Patagonia, Argentina. All natural. No restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A LARGE, Top Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth Mako, shark tooth - lower jaw anterior tooth from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of Chile. This tooth has a tan crown and a tan root. Excellent color! A Top Quality Ptychodus whipplei, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Atco Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with a very tall conical cusp with transverse ridges extending across the cusp face, but typically do not reach the margin. Authenticity guaranteed.

Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2".
