An ultra rare Mosasaur matrix piece with two Top Quality Mosasaurus (Prognathodon) anceps teeth with their original roots. Another May 2018 Fossil of the Month selection. Includes a massive 5-1/2" tooth and a 3" tooth in the original matrix. Both are fully rooted and perfect teeth which is very rare! This is not your typical Mosasaur crown glued to a root. The Scyphocrinites crinoids were floating crinoids and their holdfast was actually an air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx. This holdfast is bulbous with a great amount of detail. These crinoids make fantastic display pieces. An excellent rare holdfast specimen.
