An EXTRA LARGE pyrite replaced Paraspirifer bownockeri brachiopod from the Silica Shale Fm., Sylvania, Ohio. Both valves present  - complete specimen and matrix free. More than 1-1/4"+ thick and heavy! This is a Devonian (395 mya) brachiopod. The big Silica Fm. brachiopod. A fantastic display specimen!

A rare, EXTRA LARGE, GEM Quality Anzu wyliei hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. A February Fossil of the Month. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". A fantastic manus claw. This is 1st manus claw which is largest and most robust; often referred as the "thumb". Excellent rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible preservation - no pitting, nicks or wear. All surfaces are fantasic - very rare. Note - a small tip area was professionally restored which is typical for most Hell Creek claws. The repair is quite small with the repaired area being 5 mm on the right facing side of the tip. On the left facing side of tip, it is 1-2 mm. This is top quality, collector's claw from the Hell Creek of Montana. An ultra rare, Top Quality Judith River Nodosaur body spike from the late Cretaceous of North America. AJune Fossil of the Month. The Campanian age Nodosaurs grew to 22 feet and 6000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor with body spikes along the edge of the body (see Edmontonia photo). Edmontonia is the named Two Medicine Fm. Nodosaur which is a good proxy to the currently undescribed Judith River Fm. Nodosaur. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. A complete side armor spike from a large Nodosaur. ~72 MYA. Note - there is less than 10% professional restoration in small areas for aesthetic purposes at the base. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. An ultra rare collector's quality Ankylosaur body spike. I have only seen two of the spikes available in the market place. Incredibly rare and super cool. It was found in the 1940s!

A "Flying" TOP QUALITY Walliserops trifurcatus trilobite, the "trident Comura".  A November Fossil of the Month and one of the collector's favorite spiny trilobites. Walliserops trifurcatus is an unusual looking species with three rows of of spines run down its back and a trident-like fork extending from the front of the cephalon. The preparation is German controlled with all original colors and no restoration. Exceptional completeness and preservation. Great natural black shell with excellent luster. The bottom of this trilobite has been cleaned out and it sits on an 1" matrix pedestal. A very difficult species to prepare. Excellent shell and spine preservation. Compound eyes are very good.
