A Top Quality, Rare Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis node cluster from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes (2+ nodes). This spike has excellent color / patina with exceptional surface articulation. The blood grooves are still present in the bone. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. This is a node cluster with a large node surrounded by a group of small nodes. Note -  the excellent articulated skull surface on the base of the node. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An excellent and very rare collector's quality Pachychephalosaurus node cluster. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Struthiomimus altus upper toe bone or metatarsal (from toe III - metatarsal - the arctometatarsal) from the late Cretaceous of North America. Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. This is metatarsal III which is an arctometatarsals, a shaped wedged metatarsal that strengthened the foot and improved agility. Arctometatarsals are present in Tyrannosaurs, Ornithomimimids and a few other dinosaur species. Excellent bone quality and color. This metatarsal bone is nearly complete. Excellent bone preservation. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Struthiomimus altus upper toe bone or metatarsal from the late Cretaceous of North America. Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. An execellent metatarsal bone. Big and heavy. Excellent brown color and patina. This specimen has very good overall perservation. A rare, Top Quality, EXTRA LARGE Anzu wyliei hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Another June 2018 Fossil of the Month. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". An exceptional manus claw. Highest quality rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible perservation with exceptional surfaces - no pitting, nicks or wear - superb surface articulation! There is some professional restoration which is typical for a big Anzu wyliei manus claw. The tip has a small section repaired and the proximal edge has a small triangular area repaired which starts at the center of proximal surface (see photo). A rare, EXTRA LARGE, GEM Quality Anzu wyliei hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. A February Fossil of the Month. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". A fantastic manus claw. This is 1st manus claw which is largest and most robust; often referred as the "thumb". Excellent rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible preservation - no pitting, nicks or wear. All surfaces are fantasic - very rare. Note - a small tip area was professionally restored which is typical for most Hell Creek claws. The repair is quite small with the repaired area being 5 mm on the right facing side of the tip.
