The March 2016 Fossil of the Month is a GEM light brown colored Megalodon - PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. Highest quality enamel - glass-like with no hydration cracks! A very nice deep brown bourlette - 100% complete. Razor sharp serrations including an excellent tip serration. The serrations are 100% complete! A Top Quality Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian - Two Medicine Fm.) in northern North America. This tooth measures 1-5/8" -  an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. An EXTRA LARGE, rare Top Quality Xiphodalamia ensis tooth from the Tolagaysor Fm., Aktulagay, western Kazakhstan. Anterior position. This is an early Eocene (Ypresian) Lamnidae tooth. A TOP QUALITY very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Lateral tooth - juvenile shark. The crown has sharp cutting edges. Excellent light tan color with a light tan root and bourlette. The root is ~3/8" thick and shows typical hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Yorktown Formation (Pliocene age).
