A GEM quality Chubutensis tooth - an upper jaw anterior tooth from So. Carolina. Otodus chubutensis or Chubutensis is the extinct ancestor of the Megalodon shark. An August Fossil of the Month. An incredible blue & tan colored crown. Top quality enamel. The brown bourlette is large and complete. Sharp serrations are near complete (only 2 partially damaged) and an excellent tip serration. The root is brown colored and complete with no hydration cracks. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Prognathodon anceps tooth from the phosphate mining region, Khouribga, Morocco. P. anceps is one of the largest mosasaur species known with huge nearly round teeth used for crushing prey.  Exceptional condition and preservation. Note - this large Moroccan Mosasaur was renamed to a Prognathodon genus. A massive Mosasaur tooth from the hero of Jurassic World! No repair or restoration.  Authenticity guaranteed. An excellent Neotherium mirum jaw section (right mandible) from the Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, California. Neotherium is a basal walrus. An ultra rare Mosasaur matrix piece with two Top Quality Mosasaurus (Prognathodon) anceps teeth with their original roots. Another May 2018 Fossil of the Month selection. Includes a massive 5-1/2" tooth and a 3" tooth in the original matrix. Both are fully rooted and perfect teeth which is very rare! This is not your typical Mosasaur crown glued to a root. This is an all original, associated specimen (beware of the fakes - discussion below). Exceptional condition and preservation.  No repair or restoration. Museum Quality.
