This is a natural matrix specimen sitting with many whale bones in the original Round Mountain Silt matrix block. The large whale bone at base is 5-3/4" x 3". An incredible, LARGE polished Goniatites sp., an early ammonite-like cephalopod showing the intricate internal chamber structure. The rock matrix is a beautiful marble material and the cavities are mineral filled! These Goniatites are beautifully polished on all sides. Thick (1-1/8").
