An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY Phareodus fish. The Phareodus encaustus is a Osteoglossidae fish from the Eocene age (50 MYA) fish, Green River Fm., Lincoln Co. Wyoming. An October Fossil of the Month.  The Phareodus was a carnivorous fish with large pointed teeth and a long pectoral fin. This piece is from the 18 Inch Layer which is extremely hard and difficult to prepare. It also provides the most detailed, highly preserved fossils. Exceptional preservation and preparation. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Notidanodon loozi  lower jaw tooth from the phosphate mines of Khouribgha, Morocco. A fantastic Cow shark tooth from the Paleocene period. A super collector's tooth!
