A GEM Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis maxillary tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. The enamel is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. The October 2015 Week #4 Fossil of the Month is a LARGE, GEM Megalodon PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR upper jaw tooth from the Bolan Hall Creek, Jasper Co., So. Carolina. A gorgeous symmetrical Meg with a greenish - tan crown. High quality enamel. The brown bourlette is incredible, very glossy, anbd essentially complete. The serrations are incredibly sharp -" razor-like" with an exceptional tip serration and nearly perfect! Incredible serrations for a bigger So. Carolina Meg - among the finest (see the close photos)! A LARGE Chubutensis - upper jaw tooth on its original sandstone matrix. Gorgeous variegated brown, tan & gray colored enamel with no peel. Incredible color! Good side cusps.  Extra sharp serrations are incredible. The bourlette is a brown color and essentially complete. The root is excellent red brown color, nicely articulated, and complete with essentially no hydration cracks. Matrix size is 3" x 2-3/4". No repair. An excellent, extra large Peruvian Chub tooth!
