A "Picture" Top Quality Carcharodon carcharias, the Great White shark, tooth from So. Carolina. An upper jaw anterior tooth.  "Picture" GW tooth with a nice GRAY & TAN  colored enamel and a solid dark brown colored root. Root is well preserved - very difficult to find in the Carolina GWs. A Gem Quality Miocene-Pliocene Mastodon molar from Florida. Incredible color (red, gold & brown) and detail. An August Fossil of the Month. An extinct elephant ancestor that inhabited North America during the late Miocene to late Pliocene. This molar is a recently erupted tooth with a small amount of cusp wear. Excellent articulation. An ultra rare, GEM Quality Torvosaurus tanneri tooth from the Morrison Formation. A September Fossil of the Month. This completeTorvosaurus crown measures 1-516". The enamel is highest quality. Excellent rich black color. Exceptional posterior and anterior serrations. Note - the anterior carina end about 1/2 of the way down from the tip. The diagnostic for a Torvosaurus tooth. Fantastic overall enamel condition and serrations. No repair or restoration. Torvosaurus was a large predator during the late Jurassic with large teeth designed to slash predators. A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich tan & blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
