M040           Size: 3-7/16"   (2-5/8" W)

A LARGE "Prosqualodon" tooth with a massive root structure from the Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, CA. Excellent preservation and gorgeous color. Perfect root. Some tip damage - very typical for this species. A mid Miocene Giant Dolphin-like creature. Authenticity guaranteed. My favorite giant dolphin-like creature species.

An ULTRA RARE High Quality, 6"+ Tyrannosaurus rex  tooth from a large adult T. rex. A May Fossil of the Month. This Rex crown measures 5-13/16" (straight line) or 6-1/4" (on curve) and 1-7/8" wide. The enamel is the very good quality with some wear. Great brown & black color. A massive extra wide tooth. You can see why this bone crusher is referred to as a "banana tooth". Overall the tooth is very good quality with typical crack fill and some wear from tumbling down a Hell Creek stream. This is a real ~6" tooth. No major restoration or fill  and not a "Frankenstein" combination tooth like other sellers have offered. The serrations were very worn and were professionally restored. T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. See the detailed description to determine how to tell a real T-Rex tooth! This is the metatarsal for toe #2. This bone has excellent quality with excellent color / patina. Minor crack fill. No repair or restoration.
