An ultra rare Mosasaur matrix piece with two Top Quality Mosasaurus (Prognathodon) anceps teeth with their original roots. Another May 2018 Fossil of the Month selection. Includes a massive 5-1/2" tooth and a 3" tooth in the original matrix. Both are fully rooted and perfect teeth which is very rare! This is not your typical Mosasaur crown glued to a root. A LARGE, very rare, Parotodus benedeni lateral tooth with a massive root from So. Carolina. A Miocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. High quality enamel with sharp edges and a rounded sharp tip with some river wear. Root is complete, nicely articulated, and a typical hydration crack. No repair or restoration.
