A RARE, Troodon formosus tooth from the Judith River Fm. of western North America. Anterior tooth. Troodontid teeth are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations. A very rare Top Quality Struthiomimus altus hand (manus) bone from the late Cretaceous of North America. Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. A scarce Top Quality, Isurus retroflexus, the Longfin Mako shark tooth (big upper jaw lateral tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth has a rich tan crown and a light tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Sharp cutting edge. The rear top of root has a "shoulder" build up, a characteristic of Isurus retroflexus. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A difficult tooth to source.

The October 2015 Week #4 Fossil of the Month is a LARGE, GEM Megalodon PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR upper jaw tooth from the Bolan Hall Creek, Jasper Co., So. Carolina. A gorgeous symmetrical Meg with a greenish - tan crown. High quality enamel. The brown bourlette is incredible, very glossy, anbd essentially complete. The serrations are incredibly sharp -" razor-like" with an exceptional tip serration and nearly perfect! Incredible serrations for a bigger So. Carolina Meg - among the finest (see the close photos)!
