A Top Quality Ptychodus mortoni, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Eagle Ford Fm. tooth. These  teeth have a design that includes a high cusp with radiating occlusal ridges extending across the cusp face. Authenticity guaranteed. P. mortoni is a rare species in Texas, and when teeth get this large they are extremely rare!

An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Galeocerdo eaglesomi, an extinct Tiger shark, tooth from the phosphate mines of Hahotoe, Togo. A challenging Tiger shark tooth to find! Excellent color and preservation. A gorgeous, Schizorhiza stromeri rostal tooth from the phosphate mining area of Morocco. An extinct genus of schizorhizid sclerorhynchoid that lived during the Late Cretaceous. Exceptional quality! A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich tan & blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root.
