A rare, 4-5/8", Top Quality Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. This tooth was found in the Ernst West quarry. This Megalodon tooth has the top quality enamel with unique colors - blue & tan crown with a light tan bourlette and a root draoed with brown & black. Uncommon color for STH. The bourlette is a light brown color and mostly complete. The root is articulated and complete. The serrations are sharp. This is a middle Miocene Meg. No repair or restoration. I don't see middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often. One of the rarest Megs! Authenticity guaranteed.

Sharktooth Hill area produces very few large Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. This tooth has a highly desirable light tan color. Highest enamel quality. The bourlette is an attractive dark tan color and 100% complete. The root is an exceptional - an excellent tan color and 100% complete with no hydration cracks on the display side. Exceptional color and preservation! The serrations are incredible, extra large (Peru-like!), and nearly complete except for minor feeding wear to tip. Note - the interlocking indentations along the side of the root lobes. This characteristic is only seen in the early to middle Miocene Megs - very unique! A Museum quality specimen. No repair! You will not see these middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often! One of the rarest Megs!
