Otodus megalodon - Sharktooth Hill
A rare, 3-7/8" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. This tooth was found in the Ernst West quarry. This Megalodon tooth has the high quality enamel with a great Blue & Tan color. The bourlette is a light brown color and nearly complete. The root is articulated and complete. The serrations are sharp with some damage and a large tip serration. This is a middle Miocene Meg. No repair or restoration. I don't see middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often. One of the rarest Megs! Authenticity guaranteed.
