A natural Hoploscaphites nebrascensis ammonite with excellent preservation of the shell material. The ammonite shell has iridescence. This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with multiple rows of tubercles (nodes). This specimen is sits in an original Pierre Shale nodule with a flat base for a great display. This ammonite is from the upper Cretaceous, Pierre Shale Fm. of So. Dakota. Authenticity guaranteed. A wonderful display piece.
