An EXTRA LARGE, incredible polished Goniatites sp., an early ammonite-like cephalopod showing the intricate internal chamber structure. A natural Hoploscaphites nebrascensis ammonite with excellent preservation of the shell material. The ammonite shell has iridescence. This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with multiple rows of tubercles (nodes). This specimen is sits in an original Pierre Shale nodule with a flat base for a great display. A gorgeous Quenstedticeras lamberti ammonite from the Saratov region of Russia. Incredible pyrite replaced ammonite with a crystal lined interior.
