Allosaurus fragilis
A very rare Top Quality, Allosaurus fragilis toe claw (pes claw). A February Fossil of the Month. This Allosaurus toe claw measures 3-3/8". Highest quality bone. Great rich black - brown color. Exceptional overall condition. Note - this claw has a healed pathology at the proximal end (see photos # 2 & 3) from a prior injury. No repair or restoration with some crack fill. Allosaurus was the apex predator during the late Jurassic. Legally collected on private land in the Morrison Fm., Bone Cabin Quarry, Wyoming. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic specimen!
