A rare, Top Quality Miocene-Pliocene Mastodon molar from Florida. A February Fossil of the Month. This is an extinct elephant ancestor that inhabited North America during the late Miocene to late Pliocene. This molar is  big with 3 cusp rows with essentially no cusp wear. So, this is a recently erupted or unerupted tooth. Exceptional articulation. Excellent light tan & brown colors! This is an exceptionally well fossilized Mastodon specimen. Note - Comes complete with custom stand as pictured. No damage. No restoration or repair. An exceptional, authentic Mastodon tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
