A TOP QUALITY Hemipristis shark tooth from the Meherrin River copper red site, Hertford Co., No.Carolina. Lateral position. Extra sharp serrations. Bite marks on the enamel. These are Miocene age from the Pungo River Fm. Fantastic copper red color! Authenticity guaranteed.

Hemipristis serra is an extinct species of weasel shark which lived during the Miocene epoch. While not a rare species, finding one with the rare copper red colors is rare!  A very challenging tooth to find at the NC red site.
