Serratolamna ascheroni

Probably the most ornate of the Mackerel sharks with exquisite side cusp development. These teeth are very showy and tough to find in perfect condition due to the length of side cusps. Beautiful examples are included below. Eocene in age - approx. 55 million years ago. A tough species to locate without damage. Extra large sized. One of my favorites!
