These are excellent examples of a rare modern Goblin shark, Mitsukurina owstoni. It basal member of the Lamniformes (Mackerel sharks), and often referred to as a living fossil with ancestors extending back 125 million years, Typically grows to 10-13 feet in length. It inhabits water depths greater than 330 feet and can be found worldwide.
