An exceptional, LARGE Scaldicetus sp., a Sperm whale, tooth from Caldera area of Chile. An incredible late Miocene Sperm whale tooth from the Bahia Inglesa Fm. An August Fossil of the Month. This tooth is nicely displayed on top of a section of original Bahia Inglesia Fm. bone bed. This bone bed section has pieces of bone and a couple of shark tooth tip visible. It has exceptional preservation, fantastic brown color, and is exceptionally clean. Note matrix size is 6-1/2" long x 4" wide x 3" thick and has a shipping weight of 4.25 lbs. No repair or restoration.
