A PERFECT, GEM QUALITY, Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw tooth. A June Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent tan colored crown with a hazel brown colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color! The bourlette is excellent and complete. The serrations are large and razor sharp with a big tip serration. The root is an excellent light brown color with very small hydration cracks, very wide, and absolutely complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). A fine example of a classic Lee Creek Meg considering the shape, color, and preservation. An excellent collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! NO repair! Authenticity guaranteed.
