A nicely preserved Mammoth  / early elephant molar found offshore of Venice Beach, Florida. A December Fossil of the Month. Mammoths were present in Florida during the Middle and Late Pleistocene (781,000–50,000 years ago). A large molar with a nicely articulated chewing surface. Nearly complete root.
