An Ultra Rare, Top Quality, LARGE Anzu wyleii hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Another July 2019 Fossil of the Month. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell" as it grew to 11 feet long and 600 lbs. An exceptional manus claw. High quality rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible perservation with fantastic surfaces - no pitting, nicks, wear or crushing - superb surface articulation! The claw profiles are straight as an arrow. The proximal end is exceptional. This is a killer claw! There is some professional restoration which is typical for a big Anzu wyleii manus claw. The tip has a small section repaired - about 1/4" at the largest point (see photos - slight change in color). A few cracks were stabilized which is also typical. An incedible quality, collector's claw. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Garfield Co., Montana. Museum Quality. Authenticity guaranteed. One of my favorites! Note - a Riker frame will be included.
DA01 Size: 3-3/16" (always straightline)
