Overview

A LARGE Prognathodon anceps jaw section from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This rare jaw section still resides in its original matrix. The jaw is all natural and exhibits the typical breaks that the occur to jaws during fossilization. There are 10 teeth including 8 in the jaw. The 1-1/4" teeth on the right were fossilized while in jaw (very rare) and the teeth on left side were reinserted. The two (2-5/8") rooted teeth under the jaw are 100% natural. Exceptional condition and preservationA rare Mosasaur jaw section from the hero of Jurassic World!  Note - the large Moroccan Mosasaur has been renamed to a Prognathodon genus. These are huge examples of extinct Prognathodon anceps, a large Cretaceous, marine reptile. Please note that the genus name of this Mosasaur has changed from Mosasaurus  to Prognathodon.

Sharks had to fear these creatures! Found in the phosphate mine region, Khouribga, Morocco. A massive Mosasaur tooth from the hero of Jurassic World!
