An ULTRA RARE, Top Quality 6-1/8" Caribbean Megalodon tooth - a lower jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. An August 2022 Fossil of the Month offering. This Megalodon tooth has an incredible very light tan colored crown with charcoal highlights. Highest quality enamel with no hydration cracks. The bourlette is near white colored and complete. The Caribbean Megalodon teeth consistently offer the closest to white colored enamel. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp and complete. Excellent serrations overall. The root is a light tan color and no hydration cracks. Note - this tooth has professional restoration on a saw cut 3/4" below the tip and a few pits filled on root (typical for these teeth). Otherwise a perfect tooth. Excellent symmetry. This Megalodon was found in a commercial limestone quarry in the Caribbean (Miocene age). This is an incredibly colored Caribbean Megalodon tooth. One of finest examples of an ultra rare Caribbean Megalodon tooth that is natural that I have seen. An exceptional, rare collector's Megalodon tooth! Museum Quality Megalodon. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The bourlette is large and 100% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete (5 serrations with minor damage) with an excellent large tip serration. Exceptional serrations for a BIG Meg. The root on the display side is excellent burgundy color and on the reverse side there is some pitting which is common for these Megs. Miocene Age. "The Best of West Java". An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth anterior from West Java, Indonesia. A May Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent red-brown colored crown with incredible patterns and a red & gold colored bourlette ("tiger eye" pattern). Note - the darker brown shades arcing out towards the serrations - a display of the "fountain pattern" which is unique to West Java. I have never seen this color pattern in a Meg tooth before. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent big tip serration and essentially complete. Incredible serrations for a BIG Meg tooth. The root is nicely articulated complete with some pits on the non-display side. Miocene Age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity Guaranteed.
