Otodus megalodon was the undisputed king of the Miocene - Pliocene seas (2-15 million years ago), and are found in the Miocene Pungo River Formation and Pliocene Yorktown Formation at the Lee Creek phosphate mine. Please note that Lee Creek produces Otodus megalodon and Otodus chubutensis teeth that are among the highest quality available, and exceptional specimens are exceedingly difficult to locate. NO restoration or repair in this group! Note - Lee Creek Megs are getting very difficult to locate. The mine has been closed to collecting since 2008.     A Top Quality, 5-5/8" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. An October Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color!  The serrations are razor sharp. Note - three serrations at the tip were professionally restored. The root is nicely articulated with an excellent light tan color. It is also extra wide (4-5/8") with typical hydration cracks and absolutely complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). An excellent BIG collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! Authenticity guaranteed. A killer BIG Lee Creek Meg tooth. It is extremely difficult to locate an extra large LC Megalodon tooth with fantastic eye appeal. This is the nicest tooth that I have had in  several years!
