"The Best of West Java". An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth anterior from West Java, Indonesia. A May Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent red-brown colored crown with incredible patterns and a red & gold colored bourlette ("tiger eye" pattern). Note - the darker brown shades arcing out towards the serrations - a display of the "fountain pattern" which is unique to West Java. I have never seen this color pattern in a Meg tooth before. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent big tip serration and essentially complete. Incredible serrations for a BIG Meg tooth. The root is nicely articulated complete with some pits on the non-display side. Miocene Age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity Guaranteed. An incedible and rare BIG Megalodon collector's tooth. One of the many unique crown and bourlette color combinations. You will not see many BIG West Java Megs with complete roots!
