An Extra Large, Top Quality Great White shark transition tooth from Chile. This is a 2-9/16" rare C. hubbelli, Great White transition tooth. An April 2020 Fossil of the Month. A BIG upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. Highest quality enamel! Excellent dark tan & orange with charcoal highlights color, a well defined "gum line", and an extra wide root. This was a big shark. Note - Serrations are extra large and very irregular with a good tip serration. This tooth appears to be a late stage C. hubbelli transition tooth with strange, extra large lower serrations that disappear near the tip. Exceptional preservation - note the preserved nutrient hole on the root. Absolutely no repair or restoration. An ultra rare, PERFECT BIG Chilean Great White transition tooth.
