A high quality Moroccan fossil collection including shark teeth, ray, fish and reptile teeth and vertebra mounted in a nice oak display frame. This fossil collection includes 26 types of fossils with a total of 63 fossils. Fossils include the giant Otodus shark, Myliobatus (Eagle ray), Mosasaurus, sea snake, and the giant Enchodus fish. These marine fossils come from the Khouribga area phosphate mines and date from Cretaceous to Eocene ages (70-45 million years ago). This is our extra large frame measuring 19" x 11" x 1-3/8". Morocco offers an incredible selection of fossils including incredible fossil shark teeth, reptile (Mosasaur) and fish teeth vertebra. The region around Khouribga, Morocco is known as the phosphate plateau. The phosphate mines have exposed a wealth of marine fossils dating from the Cretaceous to Eocene ages (70-45 million years ago). Shark teeth and other fossils from this location are a creamy white to butterscotch colored and exhibit great preservation.
