Columbian Mammoth Jaw
A very rare, Top Quality baby Columbian Mammoth (Mammuthus columbi), an early elephant, jaw section with molar found in Patricio Co., Texas. A December Fossil of the Month. Mammoths were present in this area during the Late Pleistocene Ice Age. Fantastic natural color and patina! An excellent molar with a nicely articulated chewing surface. The molar chewing surface is 2-1/2" in length. A complete root. Completely fossilized. Weighs 0.75 lbs. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare collectors specimen and a very attractive display piece. A nicely articulated baby tooth. You never see baby teeth offered!
